Arizona’s Family to the Homeless 501c(3) was founded by James “Curtis” and Tammy Paynter, who felt a divine call to extend their service beyond local ministries. Their journey began with a deep commitment to their faith and a desire to make a tangible difference in the lives of those experiencing homelessness.

While actively serving in various local ministries, Curtis and Tammy recognized a significant gap in the services provided to the homeless. They saw that many existing agencies were unable to reach individuals where they lived, leaving a critical need unmet. This realization was a turning point for them, as they felt a profound calling from God to bridge this gap.

Driven by their faith and compassion, Curtis and Tammy formed strong bonds with other ministries and community agencies. Through these relationships, they identified the need for a more personal, family-oriented approach to serving the homeless. They envisioned a ministry that not only provided for the physical needs of the homeless but also nurtured their spiritual well-being.

Inspired by the belief that God is for all people, they established Arizona’s Family to the Homeless. Their mission was to create a supportive, family-like environment for the homeless, offering them not just food and shelter, but also love, dignity, and spiritual guidance. They aimed to build a community where everyone felt valued and cared for, reflecting the love and compassion of God.

Curtis and Tammy’s dedication to this mission has been unwavering. They have worked tirelessly to provide holistic support to the homeless, addressing both their immediate needs and the underlying issues that contribute to homelessness. Their approach is rooted in the belief that true transformation comes from addressing the whole person—body, mind, and spirit.

Join us in this mission as God’s disciples, working together to serve our community by encouraging and equipping one another. Together, we can make a lasting impact and bring hope to those in need.
