Family Food Support

At Arizona’s Family to the Homeless (AZFH), we recognize that food insecurity often occurs during moments of crisis. Our Family Food Support services are designed to address immediate, short‑term needs while helping individuals and families identify pathways toward longer‑term stability.

Emergency Food Box Assistance

AZFH currently provides emergency food boxes for individuals and families experiencing urgent food insecurity. This assistance is intended to provide short‑term relief during times of immediate hardship.

Important details about this service:

  • Food boxes are provided by appointment only
    • Pickup is available in the East Valley only
    • Delivery services are not available at this time
    • Assistance is intended for emergency or temporary needs

Providing food assistance by appointment allows us to steward limited resources responsibly and serve each household with care, dignity, and respect.

Ongoing Food Resources in the Community

Arizona’s Family to the Homeless does not operate an ongoing community food pantry and does not maintain formal partnerships with local food banks for recurring food assistance. However, we recognize the importance of helping individuals and families locate additional food resources beyond emergency support.

For ongoing food assistance, we encourage individuals and families to search for food banks, pantries, and meal sites in their area using the Arizona Food Banks resource directory:

https://azfoodbanks.org/#map

This statewide tool allows users to find nearby food resources based on their location and current availability.

Looking Ahead: Angel Springs Village

While AZFH currently addresses food insecurity through emergency food boxes and community resource referrals, our long‑term vision extends further. Angel Springs Village is a future, housing‑centered community envisioned to provide stability, dignity, and consistent access to basic necessities, including food.

Angel Springs Village represents a move beyond crisis response toward sustainable solutions that address food insecurity alongside housing, community support, and restoration.

Scriptural Foundation

“For the poor will never cease from the land; therefore, I command you, saying, ‘You shall open your hand wide to your brother, to your poor and your needy, in your land.’” — Deuteronomy 15:11

This scripture reflects our belief that compassion, generosity, and community responsibility are essential to caring for those in need.
