Restoring Lives. Transforming Communities.
This page shares the divine vision given to AZFH Co‑Founder Tammy Paynter—a vision of restoration, redemption, and community transformation. It is the spiritual foundation of everything we do.
A Vision of Restoration
Arizona’s Family to the Homeless (AZFH) exists first and foremost for our community and the lives we serve—lives restored from the dust and ashes like the phoenix reflected in our logo.
We believe in beauty from ashes.
The heart of AZFH beats for the lost, the broken, the overlooked, the looked down upon, and those battling addiction. Not one of these individuals is beyond redemption. Every life can be restored.
The Cycle of Redemption
Restoration is not just healing—it is transformation.
We envision those who have been restored returning to the very places they were once rescued from—reaching back to lift others out of the same circumstances.
This creates a powerful cycle of redemption and restoration, continuing until no one is lost and the pain of the past is left behind.
This is God’s plan—lived out through compassion, service, and community.

Sustainable Support Through Resell Store
As part of the Founder’s Vision, AZFH will establish a pallet resell store.
This initiative will:
- Rescue surplus and returned products for resale
- Provide job opportunities for community members
- Generate revenue to support the food pantry and outreach programs
- Reduce waste while reinvesting into the mission
This model strengthens sustainability while helping build a self-sufficient and thriving community.
A Mission That Leads to Purpose
AZFH is committed to building more than programs—we are building a community where:
Restoration leads to purpose
Purpose leads to stability
Stability leads to hope
And hope changes lives.
