Arizona's Family to the Homeless Inc
The fentanyl crisis continues to devastate communities across Arizona, with opioid-related overdoses claiming more than five lives per day. In the past 12 months leading up to November 2024, Arizona recorded 2,464 overdose deaths, with 1,659 involving opioids and 1,471 involving synthetic opioids like fentanyl. 🔵🙏
In response, our outreach team is taking proactive steps to protect and support our unsheltered neighbors. We are equipping our team members with Narcan, ensuring they have the tools to respond effectively in emergency situations and distribute this life-saving medication to those in need.⚕️
We extend our deepest gratitude to Dave Schad and Terros Health for providing our team with essential training on the proper use of Narcan, as well as education on opioid use, it's effects, and how to respond to an overdose. Their expertise empowers us to make a real difference in the lives of those struggling with addiction.
